I'm quitting teaching & going into healthcare reform...

Yup. Quitting teaching. Going in to healthcare reform. I mean why not, right? There's all this hullabaloo about Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act or whatever it's called, or, more to the point, mis-called by the masses...

... so I think it's ripe for some real good, grassroots, healthcare reform.

And I'm just the guy to do it.

Why?

No real reason. I care about my health. I've been to doctors. I've had insurance. I've filled out insurance papers. Constantly. Every time I go to the doctor. Hell, I think I'd go to the doctor more if I didn't have to keep filling out those damn insurance forms. Healthcare is more than paperwork! Reform I say! Reform!

If Bill Gates can champion education reform, with zero experience as an educator, why can't I champion healthcare reform? I have zero experience as a healthcare provider, practitioner, or insurer. But I care about my health. But Bill Gates went to school. He has kids who go to school (public, right?)

So he's qualified, right?

I've had healthcare insurance and been given actual healthcare, so I can be a valid, qualified voice of healthcare reform. Right?

Is there any field outside of education where the industry reformers can be so unqualified, lack experience, and yet be so revered?

And there's this:

So, by that rationale, are the teachers lazy, or are you, Bill Gates, the one "finding the solution," the laziest one available...?

Now that I've solved healthcare reform I think I'll move on to torts. 'Cause, you know, I read John Grisham in high school.

Better yet, I've used Microsoft products, maybe I should be CEO so I can change the culture and quality of their product over there in Redmond...
